IMPORTANT JUDGING CHANGE EFFECTIVE
ALL FUTURE COMPETITIONS
As part of our ongoing effort to create the most level competitive field,
we'll be changing the way we select Agencies of the Year.
Historically, we've identified agencies which have submitted the minimum number of
winning entries required (five this year) and averaged
all of their scores
in order to determine a winner.
Going forward, we'll
continue to first screen agencies to ensure they've submitted the minimum of
winning entries. But then, we'll calculate their average based only
on their highest-scoring entries, the number of which will be the
same as the minimum entry requirement.
So, if an agency submitted 10 annual reports for this
year's Vision Awards competition, only the five highest scoring reports would
be used to determine that agency's average. By enacting this change,
agencies submitting a large quantity of annual reports into the competition
will not be penalized if some submissions fair considerably worse than
others; instead, they'll have equal footing versus an agency submitting five
high-end annual report entries.
