Project Name: “Sanofi-aventis Who?” You would be surprised to learn that the makers of Ambien?, Plavix?, and Allegra? would have trouble with brand recognition in the United States, and specifically Cambridge Massachusetts, which is arguably the hub of the biotechnology industry. But French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi-aventis was struggling to be recognized by their market-leading peers and the local biotech community of Cambridge/Boston, Massachusetts.
